The History of SAAPM
In 2003, Congress cited RAINN’s National Sexual Assault Hotline as a critical resource for survivors and officially recognized April as Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Month (SAAPM)—a time to honor survivors, deepen public awareness, and promote strategies that reduce harm.
